Sage is a fresh, warm, spicy aroma which calms the mind and soothes tiredness. It is also good for muscular aches and pains and digestive problems.

Sage is an evergreen shrub, it can grow up to 80cm in height.

Directions:

This oil would be good to diffuse in a burner if you are suffering from winter colds or respiratory problems; it could also be blended with other oils and rubbed onto the chest to help decongest.

Technical:

Plant Family: Lamiaceae (Labiatae).

Method of Extraction: The oil is steam distilled from the dried leaves.

Main Theraputic Properties: Anticatarrhal, Antispasmodic, Neurotonic, Immune tonic, Digestive stimulant.

Contraindications: Do not use if pregnant or breast feeding. Do not use on children under 2 years of age. Do not use on people with epilepsy or fever. Do not use at more than 2% dilution on the skin or mucous membrane areas.
