Lavender has a fresh, floral, light sweet aroma and is clear to pale yellow in colour. Our Organic Bulgarian Lavender grows at around 500 metres above sea level in a mountainous area of Western Bulgaria. The land is rocky and rich in oxygen, creating the perfect conditions for good growth and yield. It is carefully steam distilled from the freshly cut flowering tops.

Directions:

Lavender is best known for its relaxing properties and is commonly used in aromatherapy, as well as in the perfumery and fragrance industry due to its famously soothing scent.

It is a fantastic natural way to enhance the quality of sleep; Try placing two drops on a handkerchief by your pillow at bedtime.

Alternatively, for a deeply relaxing soak in the tub, try the following blend:

3 drops of Lavender, 3 drops of Mandarin and 1 drop of Geranium in a cup of lukewarm milk, swirled into the running water.

Additionally, lavender is an effective antibacterial and antiseptic, making it the perfect choice to soothe small cuts, grazes, stings and burns. It cannot be used directly on the skin, so make sure you blend no more than a few drops with 10ml of carrier oil or cream base before applying to the affected area.

The primary components of Bulgarian Lavender oil are linalool and linalyl acetate. Other components include a-pinene, limonene, 1.8-cineole, cis- and trans-ocimene, 3-octanone, camphor, caryophyllene, terpinen-4-ol and lavendulyl acetate.
