Gentle Iron, contains iron in the form as ferrous bisglycinate which is a well-tolerated form of iron. This form of iron is suitable for those with a sensitive stomach. It is a one a day capsule that has been registered by the Vegan Society.
Approximately two thirds of the iron in the body is found bound up to form the protein, haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is responsible for the red colour of red blood cells and its role is to transport fresh oxygen from lungs to the body’s organs and tissues. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin. Iron also helps support normal oxygen transport in the body. Iron contributes to normal cognitive function; normal function of the immune system and it contributes in the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
