The Benefits of Raspberry Leaves
Childbirth – raspberry leaf is used during pregnancy because of the effect that it exerts on the hormones and uterus. It helps relax the uterus when it contracts during labour, assisting with a faster delivery of the baby, and to calm the pains experienced after the birth. However, it does not actually start labour or promote contractions.
Menstrual Cramps - can be used for the relief of painful menstrual cramps due to the positive effect raspberry leaf exerts on the uterine wall .
Fertility - raspberry leaf is a hormone balancer and helps to regulate and cleanse the blood of excess hormones and has been used as a reproductive tonic for both men and women.
Diarrhoea - the naturally high tannin content of raspberry leaf provides an effective treatment for diarrhoea or intestinal inflammation.
