Neem oil has antibacterial properties and can therefore be used for a number of different skin conditions. It also acts as an insect repellent when applied to the skin and is soothing for the hair and scalp.

Every part of the Neem tree can be used. While the twigs are used for toothbrushes, the leaves and bark are used for their medicinal properties and the oil, which is pressed from the seeds, is renowned for it antiseptic and insecticidal properties.
Neem oil is used in soaps, shampoos and skin care. Due to its antibacterial properties, it can be used to soothe warts, athlete’s foot and candida. It is also effective for reducing the appearance of redness and soothing rashes.
In hair care it can be used to soothe itchy scalp and to prevent dandruff. It can also be used in toothpaste to target bacteria of the gums.
As this oil is very viscous, try blending it with other lighter carrier oils up to 10%.
