Cardamom has a sweet, spicy and warming aroma. Like Clary Sage it aids concentration and mental fatigue. It is also renowned as a digestive stimulant. Cardamom oil has the ability to relax, balance and promote a sense of calm when worried or tense.
Cardamom is a reed like herb which can grow to a height of up to 3 meters. It has oblong leaves and small yellow flowers. The pale yellow fruits contain the seeds.
Directions:
Try adding 2 drops of Cardamom, 1 drop of Rose and 2 drops of Bergamot to a burner, or diffuser to create an exotic, warming atmosphere.
Blend 2 drops of Cardamom with 1 drop of Ylang Ylang and 2 drops of Sweet Orange in 10ml of Peach Kernel oil. For a luxurious and seductive soak add to warm bathwater.
Or, for a stomach rub, try 2 drops of Cardamom with 3 drops of Sweet Orange in 10ml of Sweet Almond oil to help settle and relax.
